I did 2nd reenlistment in 1985 on the Morton at INACTSHIPS Pearl Harbor.  The Re-Enlisting officer is CDR Duane   Bower, the XO when the Morton Decomm’d.   I was stationed at SIMA Pearl at the time and the bulk of the sailors are those who worked for me and the CO of SIMA CAPT Julian.   The other Kahki is the SIMA CMC.

My first reenlistment and revieving the good conduct medal from Captin of Morton, Al Bell in 1981. My wife Susan is there by my side.
Two views of the last ensign to fly over Morton. Taken a few years after the 1982 decommissioning this 1985 photo was taken the day I reenlisted. The officer on the other side was Morton's last XO, CDR Bower who officiated the reenlistment. Notice the box covering the fire control room and antenna. Morton was in a nest of a few other ships which were decommed and awaiting thier final fate.
