Skip Burdette in the sonar switch room
A sailors work is never done. The navy is as much a working force as a military force. Ships need a lot of upkeep due to the stress and the environment of the open seas. The ocean water will corrode just about anything it comes in contact with. Each sailor has a job to do and equipment or an area to maintain. Skip, a GMT is assigned to the ASROC which is Aniti Submarine Rocket. Here he is working inside and also kepping the paint looking good and painting the safety ring around the ASROC.
Layton H. Burdette  GMT3  1980 to 83
